Yosef Wosk has visited hundreds of museums on all continents. Although he does not maintain a list of all museums and heritage sites explored, some examples can be gleaned from his circumnavigation of the world in 2019. During a four-month voyage aboard the MS Amsterdam, he travelled more than 30,000 miles to about 60 destinations in 29 countries, visiting many museums and heritage sites.

The world map highlights 100 places to which Yosef Wosk has travelled, as well as places where he has enabled work to be done (ie. schools or libraries built, books to be published, etc.). Red pins are places he has visited. Green pins are historical, family pins. Teal pins mark personal accomplishments.  Blue pins, of course, are for his polar expeditions.

In general, I have been reticent to divulge my compass of curiosity for at least fifty years. There has always been a private Marco Polo inside me, a keen desire for escaping turmoil in a quest for equanimity…Travel, for me, has not been a fearful retreat; it has been a necessary devotion.
